Between Evolution theory and Quranic verses

in the First Human being

We are the human (being), have an obligation. And He, the God, have a regulation. Because of he is the creator, the keeper, and the worshiping one. Surely, we will never exist without his “power”. Many verses said about the first human who created, his name is Adam. He had said in his holy book, Quran, Ala’raf:11,

 it is we who created you and gave you shape; then we bade the angels bow down to Adam, and They bowed down; not so Iblis; He refused to be of those who bow down.

The word “كم” was refer to Adam, exactly when Adam was created.

Evolution theory

In the Quran, Albaqarah:30, Allah said,

Behold, Thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not."

This verse shows the dialogue between Allah and his angels when He made Adam. According to Anharudin (1984), the word used is “جاعل” not “خالق”, and it means that there was human or other creations before. Logically, he said, firstly the God create his creations, and then it was evolved to Adam as the human-being and the changer the creations before. From here, Anharuddin concludes that Darwin’s theory about evolution is not contrary with the Quranic verses.

Back to the history of evolution theory, Darwin made 2 basic theories (Djati Widodo:1983):

-          The human species right now was from the last species

-          The evolution has occurred though the nature selection

It means that Darwin used the facts-can be seen and it is real-to made his theories. And Djati Widodo also said that none from Darwin’s book said about the human evolution was the monkey, but the human had the physical relation with the monkey,

The Quranic verses studies

But, it was different with Harun Yahya’s argument about it. He said that Darwin’s theory about the evolution is false. The facts show that until now, although the rightness of this theory was not proved yet, but it is usually made an education curriculum. It is unlogic. According to me, Harus Yahya wants to prove the holy Islamic taught. Many books and videos were made by him, usually about the miracle of human, cosmos, and all creating. The point is about the miracle of Quran itself. One of them is the video about the miracle of human creating, from the fusion (sperm and ovum) till the baby’s birth. He used one of Quranic verse, exactly Almu’minun:23,

then we made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot we made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. so Blessed be Allah, the best to create!

This verse shows about the process and progress of human being, especially the baby being (in the uterus).

Some Quranic verses show the human being and creating

He who has made everything which He has created Most good: He began the creation of man with (nothing more than) clay,

And Alhijr:26, Alhhijr:28-29, Albaqarah:31-33.

It shows that we, human was noting without “Him”.

And in the hadits also show about the human being in Bukhari’s book,

Rasulullah said, The human was from Adam, and Adam was created from the earth.

Then, relating to the verses Albaqarah:30, many arguments claim that evolution theory was false, especially from the Islamic scholars. It is caused by the textual interpreting. The interpretation was not contextually and morally. Like the Languist’s interpretation about this verse is not focus on the human creating, but focus on obligatory of mankind, human-being. Yes, the human-being was as the successor of the God. So, Do the best !
